Environmental Management System
The key objective of this project is to promote and execute sustainable environment practices & legal compliances in the organization through various ways:
- Annual third-party verification of environmental data. Factory Environment Module (FEM)
- Aspect/Impact analysis of the processes & activities
- Prevention of pollution (minimum resources, zero waste)
- Controls over suppliers/services providers
- The environment-sensitive waste is transferred to approved and licensed vendors
Water Harvesting
Harvested rainwater will collect and automatically be used in various systems, which could include toilet flushing, sprinkler systems, and other such systems. The result will be less water usage and cheaper bills.
Water-Based Adhesives
We have developed the capability to use water-based adhesives which have less impact on the environment.
Material
- Almost 100% of our leather is sourced from LWG certified tanneries.
- We have scaled up the usage of chrome-free leather.
- We are sourcing soles, insoles, elastics, linings, zips, threads, laces, and strobel cloth made from recycled materials.
- We are using recycled material for packaging.
- We are sourcing innovative new materials which are friendlier to the environment.
Social Compliance
The primary purpose of the factory's compliance is to ensure standard safety measures and promote the welfare and health of the workers in factories. The factory compliance involves coordinating/liaising with the various government agencies to obtain different licenses/statutory certificates.
